Frequently Asked Questions About Sizing & Color

What kind of alterations are normally done to make a dress fit?

A: A number of alterations can be made:

1. Side seams and back seams: The side seams and back seam in the torso can be taken in or let out to make a dress fit . Dresses are usually made to allow 2 inches side seam allowance and the back seam often can be let out slightly to size up further.

2. Shoulders: It is also common for shoulder seam to be taken in to bring up a gown.

3. Hem: The length of a dress can be shortened only and is affected by the height of the shoes you wear. Some gowns can only be shortened from the waist. Other gowns can only be shortened by taking up the hemline.

4. Bustle: The bustle is a way to hook the train up in the back so that the dress can be worn comfortably after the ceremony. Bustling a dress is part of the alteration for any gown that has a train.

What if I would like the dress shorter or do other changes to the dress, Do you consider the order to be Custom-order?

Yes, If you choose Standard size and you want the dress shorter, you can write your Hollow to Hem measurement in the remarking box when you are placing your order. Or you can Contact US in 12hours after payment. For more information, Please look at Modifications Policy.

How do you measure length for mini, knee-length, ankle-length and tea-length skirts if you only give a hollow to floor measurement to fill the custom-size order?

We use the hollow to floor measurement to determine where the knee/ankle is in proportion of the dress design. Or you can Add Remark on the blank to tell us your expected Waist to Hem length.

Can you customize the size of my dress?

Sure, we can make any dress in your own measurements! Getting professionally measured is the best, but if you want to do it yourself be sure to read our Measuring Guide first.

Some tips for taking measurements: Asking someone else to measure you is better than you measure yourself. Take measurements while wearing undergarments similar to which you'll wear with the dress. Provide a bust measurement from the fullest part of your chest, not your bra size. Give your measurements in inches, not in centimeters. Measure hollow to floor while wearing shoes of the same height as that you’ll wear on your wedding or event.

Can I order in the Standard size same as the size I am using in my country?

There are maybe slight difference between your country's standard size and our standard size, please compare your measurements to our standard size chart to see whether there is a standard size fits you.If there isn’t,we suggest you choose custom size for the dress.

May I know what "hollow to floor" means?

Hollow to floor is the length from your hollow (center of the collarbone) to the floor. When you measure it , please take the tape from your front to straight down to floor, with shoes on. You should stand upright and your feet should keep together. Please refer to Measurement Guide.
